Privacy Policy
Last updated October 2026. Plain language, no legal jargon.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your email address, username, and a hashed password (we never store your actual password)
- If you sign in with Google, your name and email from your Google account
- Anything you add to your profile — your name, bio, profile picture, links, portfolio images, and theme choices — so we can show your page to your visitors
Analytics on your page
We count profile views and link clicks on your page so you can see how it's performing. These are simple counters tied to your account, not individual visitor tracking — we don't build profiles of the people who visit your page or sell that data to anyone.
Cookies
We use a single cookie to keep you logged in (an HTTP-only session cookie). We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
Third-party services we use
We use a small number of third-party services to run linkduk:
- Resend — delivers transactional emails (verification, password reset, activity notifications)
- Google — optional sign-in only
Uploaded images (profile pictures, gallery, link images) are stored on our own servers. We don't sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
Your custom domain
If you connect your own domain, we only store the domain name and a verification token used to confirm you own it via a DNS record — we never access your domain registrar account.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it.
